Steve Carlisle
Steve Carlisle has been making images since he was 15 years old. He was very comfortable in the darkroom and was not intimidated by mixing his own chemicals or developing his own color slides and prints.
Inspired by visits to the Museum of Modern Art & the Witken Gallery, seeing shows of Diane Arbus & Jerry Uelsmann, Steve wanted to make art his passion and he did.

One of Steve's favorite subjects was musicians. As a graphic artist & owner of a small ad agency, Steve had several radio stations as clients and that provided access to rock concerts. Steve took some of the last photographs of Lynyrd Skynyrd a few nights before their fatal airplane crash.
