The True Story of Where the Word Giclee Came From

Nash Editions pioneered the use of inkjet proofing plotters to substitute for the expensive & time consuming serigraph projects.

Graham Nash, an accomplished photographer, was shown the Iris printer at Scitex near Boston.

He was blown away at how much control you have with color and at the amazing 1800 dpi. He formed Nash Editions with CSN's road manager and hired Jack Duganne, a talented master printmaker, who is the one who coined the term Giclee.
