Thunderbird Editions offers top quality giclee printing at affordable prices. We take great pride in working one on one with the artist to produce the most spectacular images for your money.

We have developed a 3 stage proofing process. This enables the artist to be involved in the process, by giving control over the hue, saturation and shade of the colors that can not be reproduced (out of gamut). This allows the artist to achieve the look and feel in the print that is most appealing and closest to the original that is possible.

Step 1. After image is scanned and color corrected you will receive an 8" x 10" proof. At this point you have control over out of gamut colors. For example if the reds are too yellow or the blues too purple, we will use our vast experience in color management to achieve your requests, keeping in mind the colors that fall outside of the printable color spectrum.

Step 2. Once we receive the proof back with your comments, we make the appropriate changes to achieve your goal and print out another 8" x 10" proof. After you receive the second proof you will be able to see the changes and indicate any further color correction if needed.

Step 3. Upon receipt of the second proof we print a full size final proof showing exactly what your print will look like. This is to be signed by the artist as a BAT (bon a tire) and returned to Thunderbird Editions. All future prints will be matched to the BAT which is kept on file.

Typical turnaround time is 1 week between proofs and 1 week for final prints after customer approves BAT.
No charge for UV protective coating of prints.
No charge for archiving file to CD-ROM for future printing.

Customer is responsible for all shipping charges incurred during proofing cycle and shipment of final order.

If more proofs or area specific color correction is required more charges may be incurred. Retouching or image manipulation of a file (i.e.: signature removal, selective color changes, image merging) is priced at $25.00 per 1/4 hour.

Set-up Charges - $ 125 to scan or shoot a digital photo of original art + $ 125 to do proofing.

Print Pricing By The Square Inch 10 cents to 21 cents per square inch depending on size and quantity.

Our Mimaki 63 inch piezo printer uses pigmented inks. Archival prints on Canvas & Watercolor paper rolls 5 feet wide by 40 feet! Our Epson 9800 is our main printer. We also have 3 Epson 4000 printers for 17" x 23" paper.
